Our Story
Babak Roshani (Ph.D., Water Chemistry and Microbiology) is a professional engineer specializing in water and wastewater treatment systems. His extensive knowledge in designing, researching, and developing both municipal and industrial systems is an indispensable asset to Avin Water. He is fascinated by new technology and its potential to both improve current systems and inform new developments.
In his 20+ year career, he has worked with and provided expert advice in numerous technologies as they emerged, including Biological Filtration, Acid Mine Drainage Treatment, Activated Carbon, Reverse Osmosis, Nanofiltration, Electron-Beam, and Ozonation. Babak successfully commissioned more than 30 water treatment plants and was involved in operator training. Babak has more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals and one book. He is considered one of the pre-eminent leaders in water systems in North America.
